Filling Your Energy Tanks

“Failure is more frequently from want of energy than want of capital.” Daniel Webster

Answer the following:

• If you had more energy in your life – what would that look and feel like?
• How much more energy would you like? (To spring out of bed every morning and feel fantastic, to have sustained regular energy throughout the day.)
• What thought, thing or habit would you have to let go of to create more energy in your life? (Cut out caffeine and replace with water, decide to hang out with energising people) Be specific.
• What one thing would you have to do or think differently to create more love and support in your life?

Big Visualisation

Just close your eyes and imagine that you have waved a magic wand and that you have more than enough energy in your life.

Imagine – as if it has already happened – what you would feel and look like if you had more than enough energy in your life. How would you get up in the morning, who would you spend time with, what would your day look like, what would be the highlight of your day, how would you spend your evening, what would your bed-time routine feel and look like?

Filling Your Love Tanks.

“Love cures people – both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.” Dr Karl Menninger.

Answer the following questions:

• If you had more love and support in your life – what would that look and feel like?
• How much more love and support would you like? (A date night once a week, a cleaner, help with the chores at the weekend?)
• What thought, thing or habit would you have to let go of to create more love and support in your life? Be specific.
• What one thing would you have to do or think differently to create more love and support in your life?

Filling Your Space tank

“Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.” Joseph Campbell

Answer the following questions:

• If you had more space in your life – what would that look and feel like?
• How much space would you like? What would be too much, what is too little? E.g. a 25 room bedroom mansion would be too much; an extra bedroom would be great. Half an hour when you got home from work to sit and contemplate would be lovely, a whole weekend on your own would be too much?
• What thought, thing or habit would you have to let go of to create more space in your life?
• What one thing would you have to do or think differently to create more space in your life?

Just close your eyes and imagine that you have waved a magic wand and that you have more than enough space in your life.

Filling Your Time tank.

“Time once spent cannot be reclaimed. Once an hour, minute or moment is over, it’s gone forever.” Kerry and Chris Shook in One Month to Live.
Answer the following questions:

• If you had more time in your life – what would that look and feel like?
• How much more time would you like? (1 hour a day, 3 hours a day, a weekend all to yourself?)
• What thought, thing or habit would you have to let go of to create more time in your life? Be specific.
• What one thing would you have to do or think differently to create more time in your life?

Big Visualisation: Just close your eyes and imagine for a couple of minutes – as if it has already happened – that you have waved a magic wand and that you have more than enough time in your life.

Day 1: Filling your life tanks.
“The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.” – Mike Murdock
This week, we’re going to be looking at how to fill what I call your ‘life tanks’ – your time, space, love, energy and money tanks. When our life tanks become drained, it’s virtually impossible to make any changes easily. It’s like setting off on a journey – without filling up with fuel.

So this week I want you to become aware of which life tank needs some re-fuelling and create some baby steps in order to do exactly that.

Firstly, draw a circle and split it into 5 segments and label each segment: time, space, love, energy and money. Colour in each segment according to how full each tank is. Colour to the outside edge if your tank is over brimming and you have more than enough. Give a score for each segment too. 10/10 is completely full. 0 is completely empty.

Over the next week, we are going to be working on filling each segment to 8 out of 10 or above..
